Ho'opili | A neighborhood overview.

Ho’opili is a new master-planned and transit-ready neighborhood in West Oahu.

Ho’opili is a new master-planned and transit-ready neighborhood in West Oahu. It will spread around 1500 acres, have five schools (3 elementary, 1 middle, and 1 high school), and give approximately 12,000 additional residences to the area. For those who are unfamiliar with Ho’opili, it will be a 12,000-home development located between Ewa Beach and Kapolei in West Oahu. This area is currently known as “East Kapolei,” although it will soon have its own zip code. If you’ve been looking at properties for sale in Kapolei or Ewa Beach and aren’t sure which city Ho’opili belongs to, the answer is both! Despite the fact that it now bears the Ewa Beach zip code of 96706 rather than the Kapolei zip code of 96707. Ho’opili is located in the middle of Ewa Beach and Kapolei, right on the dividing line between these two flourishing neighborhoods. There are a variety of entertainment, dining, shopping, and beach activities just north of the recently completed Ka Makana Ali’i Mall and White Plains surfing beach, all within a short bike ride. Ho’opili owners will have priority access to three rail stations, which will provide an alternative mode of transportation to Honolulu Airport and other destinations.

Ho’opili will not only add new residences to the community, but it will also add new commercial space and companies. In Ho’opili, unique FLEX houses will be built, allowing owners to live and work in the same place. With Kapolei’s increasing development, Ho’opili is anticipated to become a desirable place to live in the future. Ho’opili will also offer a limited number of units for sale under Honolulu Affordable Housing regulations. Ho’opili homes for sale will provide much-needed relief to Oahu residents who have long been tormented by low housing supply and “affordable” homeownership prospects.

In the military and have a PCS order to Hawaii? Good news! You can use your Hawaii BAH towards a brand new home in Ho’opili. If you use their in-house lender for your Hawaii VA Loan, Ho’opili has obtained VA approval for their project and is now offering up to $7,000 in closing cost credit. The area has proven to be a popular choice for individuals who prefer not to live at Schofield Barracks and is a warm and inviting neighborhood for Hawaii Military Families.

The developer has placed a strong emphasis on “Community” in the Ho’opili Kapolei project, which will be evident through the implementation of ample outdoor and active living spaces, access to seven recreation centers with pools and playgrounds, as well as future planned restaurant, retail, and grocery stores. The Ho’opili neighborhood will eventually become one of Hawaii’s most self-sufficient and family-friendly neighborhoods, providing an unrivaled level of comfort and convenience.
