Anaha Ward Village

1108 Auahi Street | Built in 2017 | 311 Units | 38 Stories

One of Hawai’i’s most avant-garde towers.

Overview

This innovative 311-unit tower, one of Oahu’s most sophisticated and design-forward residences, sets a new tone for Honolulu’s changing architecture and symbolizes an iconic addition to the city’s skyline with 238 Tower Residences, including penthouses, and 73 Townhomes and Flats.

Anaha’s sweeping, bright glass façade, designed by Chicago-based company Solomon Cordwell Buenz in cooperation with Ben Woo Architects, depicts the light bouncing off the waves of the adjacent Pacific Ocean. Anaha, located on Ward Village’s Diamond Head edge, offers a broad choice of exquisite villas where the quiet seclusion of home is complemented by all the facilities one would expect from a luxury resort.

Residents can enjoy spectacular views from every level of the building due to its height and strategic location. From the oceanfront to Diamond Head, and from Kewalo Harbor to the sunset in the west, there are 360-degree vistas. On the lower floors, townhomes and apartments gaze out over lush greenery to the horizon. Residents may stare at the brilliant lights of downtown Honolulu from their windows and terraces at night.

Amenities

Anaha will have an amenity deck on the seventh floor. A deluxe fitness center with a yoga room and an active fitness room with free weights and machines, steam saunas and treatment rooms, a movie theater/performance room, chef kitchen, resident dining room, library room, billiards room, indoor golf simulator, overhanging swimming pool, hot tub, cabanas, putting green, tennis court, sand volleyball court, children’s play area, and dog park will be available.

Location

Anaha will be located at 1108 Auahi Street, diagonally across from Waiea and Aeo and to the right of Ward Consolidated Movie Theaters. Anaha is a second-row Ward Village structure that is deemed a Ward Village deluxe tower.

History

Anaha is Howard Hughes’ second building in Ward Village Kakaako, a 60-acre master planned city in Honolulu’s downtown. Chicago based Solomon Cordwell Buenz and Ben Woo Architects collaborated on the construction of this upscale building. The tower was finished in 2017 after pre-sales started in 2014. Anaha is characterized by its iconic overhanging see-through swimming pool and rubix cube-like layout, which allows for several views. The Hawaiian word anaha means “reflection of light,” and it is integrated into the building’s twists and turns, which reflect light off the surrounding Pacific Ocean’s waves.
