The Central Ala Moana

1440 Kapiolani Blvd

Experience luxury in Honolulu, coming soon

The Central Ala Moana is the second tower built by Samkoo Pacific, a Korean developer. The first tower, Kapiolani Residence, at 1631 Kapiolani Boulevard, was a hugely popular project that sold out in less than two months. The developer’s new project, the Central Ala Moana, will be an upgrade, with a much better site near to the upcoming Ala Moana Transit station. The project will be developed on a 1.43-acre land that was previously home to Motor Supply Co and was purchased for $26 million by SamKoo Pacific in 2007.

THE UNITS

The project will be architecturally comparable to Kapiolani Residence, with floor to ceiling glass and rather wide floor designs. Keyless entry, smart refrigerators, taller ceilings, and many more units with ocean views than its sibling tower are among the rumored changes. As the building’s design takes shape, the developer’s pricing range, amenities, and other elements will be determined by the market. So far, here’s what we’re expecting:

-There are 513 units with one, two, and three bedrooms.

– 513 units consisting of one- two- and three-bedroom units

– 310 Affordable (HHFDC Rules)

– Studios from 469 – 518 sqft

– 1 beds from 766 – 773 sqft

– 2 beds from 1057 – 1,275 sqft

– 3 beds from 1,316 – 1,622 sqft

Features: AC, Keyless Entry, “Smart” Touchscreen Appliances

Affordable Price Ranges:

– Studios: $286,000 – $399,500

– 1 Bedrooms: $396,000 – $566,000

– 2 Bedrooms: $493,000 – $637,000

– 3 Bedrooms: $700,000 – $708,000

Market Price Ranges:

– 1 Bedrooms: $580,000 – $630,000

– 2 Bedrooms: $777,000 – $998,000

– 3 Bedrooms: $990,000 – $1,398,000

THE AREA

It should come as no surprise that The Central Ala Moana calls this area “home.” Owners will appreciate the convenience of the Ala Moana neighborhood, which is booming with surrounding restaurants, entertainment, and world-class shopping at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, which is just across the street. Ward Village in Kakaako, recently crowned Best Master Planned Community in the United States 2017, is just a short walk away for more shopping and restaurants. Not to mention the well-known Ala Moana Beach Park, which has acres of public, outdoor, and coastal attractions.

One of the neighborhood’s centerpieces is Kapiolani Boulevard, which serves as one of the city’s primary thoroughfares for commuters in and out of Honolulu’s business sectors. The Ala Moana area is in its infancy, according to Honolulu’s Transit Oriented Development strategy, and it will eventually become Honolulu’s most livable urban community as increased walking, biking, and transit usage takes shape. The recently formed Midtown Ala Moana area, which is adjacent to the Ala Moana district, is undergoing its own makeover as it follows in the footsteps of its slightly older sister community, Kakaako.

THE AMENITIES

The following are some of the included amenities:

  • Fitness Center
  • Room for recreation
  • Swimming pool and a separate pool for youngsters
  • Cabanas with hot tubs and grilling stations
  • Playground for kids
  • Dog park with views

It doesn’t take much imagination to imagine what kind of views to expect from The Central Ala Moana, which will be built just behind Ala Moana Center. Unless an unexpected high-rise rises directly in front of The Central, units with oceanside orientation should have outstanding, direct beach views.
