The Vanguard Lofts

720 Kapiolani Blvd

The Vanguard Lofts is a mixed-use loft building with 34 residential lofts and 3,616 square feet of ground floor retail. The building was once the first used car dealership in all of Hawaii, back in 1907. In 1965, the old National Cash Register (NCR) bought it as an office and added another section, hiring renowned architect Vladimir Ossipoff. Since then, the historic building has been renovated and converted into a modern and sophisticated living space. With high ceilings, large windows, exposed pipes and vents, the Vanguard Lofts is a progressive, stylish option for residents. Its location in 720 Kapiolani Boulevard places it within the Kakaako and midtown Honolulu neighborhoods – an exciting area bustling with prime shopping, eating and entertainment options.

The Environment

Vanguard Lofts is located in Kakaako, Honolulu’s fastest developing urban core, which means you’ll be able to walk to a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Residents will also benefit from being close to Ala Moana Shopping Center, America’s largest open-air shopping mall. At nearby Ala Moana Beach Park, you can swim, paddleboard, surf, or kayak. Waikiki is only a short drive away, and the Neal Blaisdell Center, where big shows and concerts are held, is within walking distance.

If you work in the city, you can grab a bus that stops often along the street and be at your office in 15 minutes. Restaurants such as MW Restaurant, Yamaji, Sushi ii, Nobu Honolulu, Piggy Smalls, and many others are within walking distance or a short five-minute drive. Families will be relieved to learn that institutions such as Iolani School, Punahou School, and others are only 10 to 20 minutes away by car. When the train line is finished, the Ala Moana Transit will be close by, allowing you to go to farther destinations.
